Work turned out nice [noise control wall] and crew was neat and cleaned up after themselves. Thanks! Lee, Our painter, who maintains a very high standard, said that the plastering of the wall, [after a Noise Control modification to such wall] which included coving between it and the ceiling, was very well done.

I am happy that I invested the money in the sound testing… so I can have confidence when I sell that the unit is built to code and I am not hiding anything.

Your ceiling design and implementation worked great! It’s nice and quiet upstairs in my office (can’t hear snoring from the bedroom), and it’s nice and quiet downstairs too (can’t hear me squeaking my chair, or the fans and power tools upstairs).

Doorbell Buzzing Sound Diagnosis

Dear Lee, The handyman, Mark shut off the power that goes to the phones and transformer in my closet and the buzzing noise was gone. Thus, your diagnosis about the transformer seems to be correct. We\’re currently working on a system to change the doorbell to a phone-based system so that the transformer would no longer be necessary and can be removed. Just thought you’d like to hear the good news.

Lee, It is now some months since you installed the sound deadening materials on the front of my office. The construction across the street is proceeding. Last week there were, at one point, five cement mixers lined up in front, awaiting their turn to pour forth into the building site. We could hear the racket inside, but it was ‘sound’ rather than ‘noise’, as hoped. I am very pleased with the results. I am often in the back of my office, but patients wait in the front, and my office manager sits and works in front. She is a musician, and is very happy with the decreased noise. She had been, as you may recall, particularly apprehensive about the nearby construction. We’ve not been through a winter yet, but I have noted that we’re cooler inside on the hot fall days, as well. A happy customer.
